Professor Mihoko Sumida and Professor Simon Deakin of the Hitosubashi Institute of Advanced Studies will take part in the 3rd Global Youth Forum for a Culture of Lawfulness organized by the Ministry of Justice of Japan, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC) and the Thailand Institute of Justice.

This Global Youth Forum aims to become a place where the youth can deepen their understanding of contemporary issues on the rule of law and justice, understand and share their diverse backgrounds and values, and foster networks and friendships, while bringing their voices to the United Nations. This year, the forum will be held on the 15th and 16th of February in Kyoto with theme being “法務・司法分野におけるAI・デジタル技術の活用及び課題”. Professor Mihoko Sumida and Professor Simon Deakin will be giving the Keynote speech on the 15th. Legal Innovation collaborating members Hiroaki Yamada from the Institute of Science Tokyo will be joining as a facilitator.
